The wonderful world of knight Arthur Merghelynck is closing its doors for a while! The castle is closed indefinitely for renovation. However, the park surroundings will remain accessible. This hidden gem in the Westhoek is being restored to preserve it for generations to come.
Beauvoorde Castle is one of the best-kept secrets in the Westhoek. The castle is located in the village of Wulveringem near Veurne and probably dates back to the 12th century. The last owner, Arthur Merghelynck, passed it in his carriage one random day and was captivated immediately.
More than one hundred years later, the castle still has a unique appeal. It immerses you in a nostalgic atmosphere, an oasis of tranquillity and beauty. The French-English landscaped park completes the magical experience.
