Stad- en Landshuis

The Stadhuis (City Hall) originally served as the concierge’s lodge to the Manor House. The Albert room in the Stadhuis was used as the headquarters of King Albert I during WWI.

The Landshuis was Veurne-Ambacht’s administrative headquarters (Castellany), but it became a courthouse after the French Revolution and the abolishment of the Castellany.

Toerisme Veurne is situated in this building, and the first floor houses the experience centre Vrij Vaderland (Free Homeland).
