The Bakery Museum

The Bakery Museum is situated in the buildings of the 17th-century Zuidgasthuishoeve and is a regional attraction recognised by the Vlaamse Gemeenschap (Flemish Community) in 2003. The permanent exhibition features brilliant items from the bread and pastry collection, such as unique wooden moulds for speculaas (spiced biscuits), various waffle irons and a bicycle on rollers used for ice production.

The Bakkerijmuseum also has plenty of things to do! There are lots of fun activities on offer, such as baking demonstrations, baking workshops, ... Request the activities calendar via e-mail or take a look at the website. All activities are booked through the Bakkerijmuseum.
